Today he accomplished the full circle....he has now played as Goalkeeper, left back, right back, central defense, left / right midfield, central midfield and now striker.
How many people can you name to have accomplished such a feat.
Another admirable quality is that unlike Mikhael"Mr Heart Attack" Silvestre he knows his abilities and stays within them ..... He does not try to dodge Gerrard ....GERRARD for goodness sakes!!!....in his own penalty area.He does not try ambitious passes that Zidane would be proud of...He does not take long range shots...he just plays his normal simple game.
He sticks to conventions...and does whatever is asked of him.
So I think he deserves some recognition.
So this is a tribute to the one, the only .......TRUE Utility man in World Football.....John"STAR" O'Shea.

Surely your joking, Mr. Atkinson
I had actually made a resolution to not write match reports on this blog....but this time , I can't resist.
The Manchester United- Liverpool game today was a classic example of the pathetic standard of refereeing in English football. I mean seriously , the situation wasn't so bad a couple of years ago.
Sir Alex is probably cursing his luck that Graham Poll (the highly experienced referee who gave 3 yellow cards to one person in one match) had to stretch his hamstring today of all days.....precisely when Manchester United have to travel to the Kop and play the biggest match of the year.
And to make it all worse , taking his place was the very inexperienced Mick Atkinson, who was actually Stevie Wonder in disguise.
I'm not being insensitive here but generally it does help if the referee is not blind.
It's remarkable to note the number of wrong decisions he made....Carragher should have been sent off for two horrendous tackles on Rooney and Ronaldo....Carrick should not have been booked.....and most importantly, Saha should have got a penalty.
In addition to this , he gave every single 50-50 decision Liverpool's way.
So you can probably understand how elated I am that Man Utd overcame these conditions to snatch a win at Anfield.
This is the sign of a great team : To play like crap , with a referee wearing a Liverpool shirt , with Rooney injured and Scholes sent off .....and still win.
Maybe this is the Man U fan in me talking .......but I think we saw the new champions of England being crowned today at Anfield.

Made Man Utd debut in 1991 against Crystal Palace. Helped Man Utd to 2 league titles.

Interested in nothing, Co....Wait a minute..why did I start this thing???
Ahhhh...Finally I've got my blog. Don't really know why I started this thing.....probably because I am so hopelessly bored and frustrated with my life. Absolutely nothing to do or rather nothing that gives me a sense of purpose . I hate my college and ...um no wait.... I don't hate my college...actually I hate engineering. Seriously, I don't have the slightest idea what I was thinking when I decided to get into this stuff. I don't have the least bit of interest or talent for engineering.
Come to think of it ....what do I have an interest for ??? I probably would have had the same hatred about pure science, commerce or arts had I gone in for them. Actually I'm sure I would have said the same thing about the other fields as well. Hmm.....so basically I'm screwed up in the head..don't know what I want ....don't know why I want to do the stuff I want to do...and harbour ridiculously optimistic hopes of someday finding something I am interested in.
Actually I do like music and football....but suck at playing both...so the only hope is a career in football commentry (my mom just fainted) or music journalism (so did my grandparents).
So the title is kinda exaggerated ...I am interested in some stuff...just not in stuff that people should be interested in....for instance ..just the other day I had a long , detailed conversation about a couple of crows eating a dead rat with an equally lost friend of mine (his family just joined my mom and grandparents ) and another time we spoke at length about a cockroach getting drunk....
Eureka!! Got it ....I started this blog because I really needed something to waste time on so that I wouldn't let my boredom drive me insane ( I may be slightly late).
That felt great....finally I know why I started this thing....now to work on the other questions raised.......
